Rowan Connor:
Her past.

    Rowan Connor didn't speak with many people about her past, or how
she came to SFA. However, Rowan's reasons weren't your typical ones.
    Born in Dublin, Ireland to Duncan and Cathrine Connor, her name
alone told you she was as Irish as they come. Her family lived in
Ireland long enough for her to aquire the irremovably Irish lilt to her
voice when her father moved them to San Fransisco, in hopes of getting
his daughter into the StarFleet Academy. 
    Duncan took a job as a bartender for a less than StarFleet class
establishment, leaving his wife to raise Rowan. Rowan, however, was
having nothing of her father's plans for her. She steadfastly refused
to join on her eighteenth birthday when he took her there, and the
resulting scene had both cursing stubbornly. "I will not go, you can't
make me! You go if you're so damned hot for it.."
    She came to regret those monthly fights soon after her twentieth
birthday, when Duncan never came home. He had been a little too slow,
and one of his hostilely drunk customers had slid a knife in between
his ribs, ending his life at forty. 
    Catharine Connor, then thirty-eight, left San Fransico to return
home to Dublin. Rowan signed up for the Academy the same day her mother
returned to Ireland. Her father had taken her to San Fransisco to give
her a chance to be better than he was. She went out to fulfill her
father's only wish.

    Rowan did not finish SFA, quitting in her Midshipman Second Class
term. She met and married Kurt Krieger, a promising Naviation Major,
and both joined the Terran Federation College when it opened. Rowan
Krieger became a guidance councellor for the StarFleet Academy
hopefuls, and became pregnant about the same time Kurt was asked to do
some undercover work around the College. 
    In spite of her worries, Kurt continued his undercover obligations.
He did not return. She heard rumours about his being captured in the
Romulan raids, but was never told for certain.
    Jamison Robert Kreiger was born three months after his father's
death, with Rowan once again cursing a blue streak at the delivering
doctor, Trevor Myster. Enign Wyvern Lien was named as his godmother.
And Jami had his father's eyes. 
    Rowan dissappeared after recieving a mysterious letter from Dublin,
leaving Jami in Wyvern's care. Rowan had a brother younger than Jami at
twenty-two, a now forty year old Cathrine having neither writen nor
told Rowan that she had remarried.

Rowan Krieger:
Her Present.

   Rowan returned, and has been Rowan Krieger for near eight years now,
widowed for nearly six of them. StarFleet never told her what became of
her husband, and uncharictaristically, she doesn't ask. Rowan turned 
her energy from getting answers to making a better life for her and 
Jami. Leaving her position at the Terran Federation College (TFC) and
returning to StarFleet Academy, she hopes to complete the training she
began around ten years ago.
   Nearing thirty and raising an almost six year old son by herself, she 
tends to stand out of the focus of most SFA students. Rowan is usually
quite content to stay that way, and often longs for the simpler days
when she knew everyone around her. 
   She hopes to become a Counselor or Medical Officer upon leaving SFA
and stay terra-bound, to give her son a safer life than her husband
had.
