Shaylan was born to Deleryn (the son of Ashke's sister,) and 
Tiana a mere four-hundred fifty and some-odd turns ago. His grandmother
slept in a perserver cocoon long before he was born, and his parents 
decided to join her when he reached early adolecence. Mildly confused 
by his parents desire for sleep outside of time, he prefers to live 
life as many young do- Recklessly, by his parents' standards. Perhaps 
he'll change his mind when he gets to be several thousand years old, 
but until then...
        Usually a somewhat irreverant and incorrigible trickster,
Shaylan has withdrawn a little as of late. He spends much of his time 
looking into the Tome of Knowledge, and recently served a shift with 
The Nine, and seems preoccupied with the silent healers.
